I have recently been encountering the “abundance” card in quite a few of my daily readings for myself. This got me thinking about the law of abundance. And my guides were encouraging me to write something about it. Now from what I have read, the law of abundance is basically – there is plenty to go around for all who really want it.
Quote from Well Being Alignment website:
“The Law of Abundance is an abiding principle within universal laws. It is the simple fact that there is an unlimited Source of everything we need or could ever want. This great abundance is already ours, infinitely available to all of us all the time.”
That wasn’t sitting well with me. Actually it started to bother me. And although I know why I am receiving the abundance card, and it has nothing to do with the infinitely available abundance that is ours for the asking. For me it has everything to do with past life issues (that topic is for another time) and I am working through those issues to release them.
No, the thing that had me bothered was – what about all of the impoverished, needy, the lonely and the hungry? I know that they are wanting abundance. Wouldn’t you think?
I was feeling that if I blogged about abundance and wrote about what I was reading, that all you have to do is ask and believe and you shall receive, then why, if by the grace of Source is already ours, why isn’t everyone taken care of?
I decided to take it up with my guides. I went for one of my usual evening walks (as I have found that this is definitely a form of meditation for me and this time without my fur-baby Bailey. She was lucky enough to go on a hike with my daughter), and I asked them to help me to understand.
Now before anyone starts chastising me with all of their philosophies on this law – I get it and I understand it and it is awesome. But I knew there had to be more to it – there just had to be, because instinctively, intuitively, I felt I was missing a piece.
The piece I was missing my guides told me was the “giving of abundance to others”. That by giving of oneself, our love, our compassion, our time, our energy, our thoughts and prayers, our encouragement and kindness, by giving a smile, a nod and a hello … and yes, even by giving our donations. By the pure act of giving we are creating abundance for others, even if we are only a small portion of the abundance they are receiving – when combined together and everyone giving there IS an abundance. And by the shear nature of the law of attraction (and yes that’s another time too), we will receive abundance back.
Abundance comes in so many forms; happiness, love, kindness, joy, enlightenment, comfort, companionship, and so on.
I felt a million times better after this message. My guides never let me down (thank you J & M). I have such a better understanding of what I need to do in order to receive that infinitely divine available source of abundance. I just simply have to give, no matter how small or how big, just give.
